Shipping & Returns Policy – Ausamics
Ausamics supplies laboratory reagents, chemicals, culture media, and scientific materials. Due to the nature of these products, shipping and returns are governed by strict quality, safety, and traceability requirements.

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on:

All shipping costs are displayed before payment is completed.
Dispatch times
Orders placed before 1:30 pm AEST (Monday–Friday) are typically dispatched the same business day.
Orders placed after this time, on weekends, or on public holidays are dispatched the next business day.
Dispatch times are estimates only and may vary depending on stock availability, order size, or compliance checks.
Delivery services & transit times (Australia)

Standard: typically 2–6 business days

Express: typically 1–3 business days to major metropolitan areas
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by public holidays, weather events, remote locations, or carrier delays.
Order tracking
Once dispatched, tracking details will be emailed to the address used at checkout. Tracking may also be available through your Ausamics customer account if one has been created.
Authority to Leave (ATL)
If Authority to Leave is selected, parcels may be delivered without signature.
Once marked delivered by the carrier, risk and responsibility transfer to the recipient. Please ensure a secure delivery location.
PO Boxes & Parcel Lockers
Delivery to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers is available where supported by the carrier and product type. Certain products may require physical address delivery.
International shipping
We ship internationally to most destinations. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination, service, and weight.
Indicative transit times (estimates only):

All international shipments are sent with tracking.
Customs, duties & import compliance
The recipient is responsible for all customs duties, taxes, VAT, import permits, and regulatory compliance in the destination country. Customers must ensure products are permitted for import. Customs inspections, holds, or delays are outside our control.
If an international shipment is refused, unclaimed, or returned to sender, the product value will be refunded only after return and inspection. Original and return shipping costs are non-refundable.
Address accuracy & changes
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
Address changes can only be made before dispatch. Once shipped, redirection is not guaranteed and additional carrier fees may apply.
Delayed, lost, or damaged shipments
If your order is delayed or missing:

If an order arrives damaged, notify us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the product and packaging.
Returns Policy
Due to the sensitive and regulated nature of laboratory and chemical products, returns are tightly controlled.
Return eligibility
Returns may be considered only if all conditions are met:

The product is a regularly stocked item

The return request is submitted within 30 days of delivery

The product is unopened, unused, and in original sealed packaging

The product is not custom-made, special-order, perishable, temperature-sensitive, or clearance stock
Custom products, special orders, perishable items, and temperature-sensitive materials are strictly non-returnable.
Return authorisation (mandatory)
All returns require prior written approval.

LOT number and expiry / best-before date (if applicable)

Reason for return
Returns sent without authorisation will be rejected.
Change-of-mind returns
Approved change-of-mind returns are subject to the following:

Products must be unopened and unused

Customer pays all shipping costs (original and return)

A restocking fee of up to 35% may apply

Refunds are issued only after inspection confirms resale condition

Original shipping charges are non-refundable
Incorrect, faulty, or damaged items
If you receive an incorrect, defective, or transit-damaged product, notify us promptly and include:

Product name and LOT number

Clear photos of the issue and packaging
Where verified, Ausamics will arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. No restocking fee applies in these cases. We may request the product be returned or retained for investigation.
Refund processing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method:

Change-of-mind: after approved return and inspection

Faulty or incorrect items: after verification
International refunds exclude original shipping costs. Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are not refundable.
Responsibility for returns
Customers are responsible for returned items until received by Ausamics.
Tracked return shipping is strongly recommended. Proof of delivery is required. Ausamics is not responsible for lost or undelivered return shipments.
