Nutrient Agar Powder | General-Purpose Microbiological Culture Medium
Nutrient Agar Powder
General-purpose dehydrated microbiological culture medium for cultivation of non-fastidious bacteria. Balanced peptone, meat extract, sodium chloride and agar formulation for routine microbiology applications.
Overview
Nutrient Agar is a standard non-selective, general-purpose culture medium used for cultivation and maintenance of non-fastidious bacteria. Peptone supplies amino acids and peptides, meat extract contributes vitamins, minerals and additional growth factors, sodium chloride maintains osmotic balance, and bacteriological agar provides a stable solid surface.
AuSaMicS AS-1307 is supplied as a ready-to-reconstitute dehydrated powder for routine research, quality-control, environmental, food and industrial microbiology workflows.
