If you are working in any environment where bacterial contamination is a risk — shared spaces, non-sterile inoculation, environmental samples — step up to the Growth & Clean Culture Kit which adds Chloramphenicol and Tetracycline for active contamination suppression.
Why does the Advanced bundle use Tetracycline 10 g instead of 5 g?
Bundles 3 and 4 are designed for higher-volume laboratory use. The 10 g pack provides greater working stock — particularly useful when supplementing multiple media types across extended research campaigns.
What is Cycloheximide used for in Bundle 4?
Cycloheximide is a selective antifungal agent that suppresses yeast growth while allowing filamentous fungi (moulds) to grow unrestricted. It is used in Bundle 4 for specialised research applications requiring yeast-free fungal isolation, particularly in environmental and food mycology.
