Overview

Cycloheximide is a potent inhibitor of eukaryotic protein synthesis, widely used in microbiological, cell biology, and molecular biology research. It acts by binding to the 60S ribosomal subunit of eukaryotic cells, thereby blocking translational elongation and effectively inhibiting protein synthesis.
