Description

Soybean Lecithin is a naturally derived mixture of phospholipids and associated lipids obtained from soybean oil processing. It is widely used as an emulsifier, dispersing aid, wetting agent, and processing aid in food, feed, cosmetic, and industrial applications where improved flow, stability, and ingredient distribution are required.

Its amphiphilic character allows it to interact with both water and oil phases, making it especially useful in systems requiring emulsification, powder wetting, viscosity control, and improved handling of fat-containing ingredients. Depending on grade and specification, soybean lecithin may be supplied in liquid, de-oiled, or powdered form.

Key Features & Benefits
⚖️
Excellent EmulsificationHelps stabilise oil-water systems and improves consistency across a wide range of formulations.
💧
Improved WettingSupports rapid wetting and dispersion of powders, including cocoa and fat-containing ingredients.
⚙️
Process EfficiencyCan improve flow properties, reduce sticking, and support more uniform processing performance.
🌱
Soy-Based IngredientNaturally sourced multifunctional material used across food and technical manufacturing systems.
Applications
🍫
Food Processing
  • Chocolate and compound coatings
  • Bakery, confectionery, and margarine systems
  • Instant powders and beverage premixes
🥣
Powder Handling
  • Improves powder wetting and dispersion
  • Helps reduce agglomeration in fat-rich formulations
  • Enhances reconstitution behaviour
🏭
