Overview
Basic Fuchsin is a cationic (basic) dye widely used in biological staining and microscopy. Due to its strong affinity for nucleic acids and cellular components, it is commonly applied to highlight cell nuclei and cytoplasmic structures in histological and microbiological preparations.
The dye’s adsorption properties also make it useful in laboratory studies related to dye–particle interactions and wastewater treatment research, where it may be evaluated for removal by adsorption or filtration methods.
