Nitrate Broth (AS-1306) | Nitrate Reduction & Denitrification Assay
$85.00 AUD
AuSaMicS Life Science • Biochemical Identification
Nitrate Broth
Definitive Nitrate Reduction & Denitrification Test
The industry standard for differentiating Enterobacteriaceae and identifying Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Designed for the precise detection of nitrate reduction to nitrite, nitrogen gas, or ammonia.
AS-1306 ⚗️ Redox Assay ✓ ISO 21528-2 🧪 Clinical Grade
Substrate: Potassium Nitrate Indicator: Griess Reagents Standard: FDA-BAM / API 20E
Diagnostic Utility
Dual Detection - Nitrite & Gas (N₂)
High Sensitivity - Detects weak reducers
Unambiguous - Clear red color shift
Stable - 6-month shelf life (prepared)
Key Reaction
NO₃ → NO₂ → N₂ / NH₃
🔬 Interpretation Protocol
Step 1: Griess Reagents
Add Reagents A & B. Immediate Red = Positive for Nitrite reduction. If no color, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Zinc Dust Confirmation
Add Zinc grains. No Color = Positive Denitrification (N₂). Red Color = True Negative (Nitrate still present).
