Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA / CASO Agar)

General-Purpose Culture Medium for Microbiological Research & Quality Control

Catalog Number: AS-1370

Overview

Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA), also known as CASO Agar, is a nutrient-rich, general-purpose solid culture medium widely used for the cultivation and isolation of a broad range of microorganisms in research, quality control, environmental, and industrial microbiology laboratories.

Its balanced formulation, based on enzymatic digests of casein and soybean meal, provides essential amino acids, peptides, vitamins, and minerals that support the growth of many bacteria, yeasts, and moulds. Due to its versatility and clarity, TSA is commonly used as a baseline medium for routine cultivation, enumeration, and method development.

Ausamics Tryptic Soy Agar is manufactured to deliver consistent performance, clear colony morphology, and reliable batch-to-batch reproducibility.
